Brown the ground beef in a large skillet; season with salt and pepper.
Drain the grease, if you wish, I like to live dangerously and usually skip this step.
Add the cans of Chicken Gumbo Soup, and then use the cans to measure out the water.
Next, add the ketchup, mustard, and pepper. Stir everything together.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-low heat. Then cover and let it simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve on your favorite roll with sliced pickles and cheddar cheese. Twist it up by serving over mashed potatoes or a slice of bread.
